Hazel Ingram Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 25, 2025.
Hazel Davis Ingram, age 83, of Clemson, SC, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

Born March 30, 1941, in Oconee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Grady Ernest Davis and Junie Broome Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin (Ben) Albert Ingram; and brother, Edward (Eddie) Ernest Davis.

Hazel was a graduate of Townville High School and attended Clemson University. While attending Clemson, she met and married her husband, Ben. They began their life together living in Union, SC, followed by Wichita Falls, TX, Tucson, AZ, Anderson, SC, Granville, OH, Brentwood, TN, Greenville, SC, and Atlanta, GA before finally retuning to Clemson, SC. She was especially fond of the time in Brentwood, TN where her children attended high school and also cherished the time during her care in Clemson, SC.

Hazel made it a point to engage with her community wherever the location and she valued maintaining relationships throughout the country. She threw herself into the activities of her children including church, civic organizations, parent-teacher organizations and athletic booster associations. To the current day, she enjoyed reminiscing about adventures around high school athletic events and maintained the personal relationships from that era. Later in life, Hazel joined Canal Insurance Company in a claims management role. There, an entirely different world of business was opened to her, and she was thrilled to learn it, however, she most valued, as usual, the dear relationships.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Ingram and Brad Ingram (Chandra); siblings, Brenda Davis, Sammy Davis (Tracy), and Mike Davis (Gail); sister-in-law, Joyce Davis (Eddie); and grandchildren, Alex Ingram and Banks Ingram.

The family will host a celebration memorial service at Dominion Senior Living in Clemson, SC, on April 26, 2025, at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Clemson University Foundation.
