Born March 10, 1916, in Tarentum, she lived there before moving to Concordia six years ago.
Mrs. Lemmer was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Tarentum. Mrs. Lemmer gave her loving service to her children her whole life.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Patricia) Rodgers of Spotsylvania, Va., and Mrs. Gary (Jeanne) Wolfe of Herndon, Va.; a son, James C. Lemmer Jr. of Winfield Township; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Sheridan Johns (Liz) of Harrison; and two sisters, Mary Ann Jack of Harrison and Dorothy Hazlett (Lynn) of Tarentum.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sheridan and Mary Ann Lawther Johns; her husband, James C. Lemmer Sr., who died June 22, 2002; two sisters, Agnes and Rose; and four brothers, Thomas, John, Jesse and James Johns.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at the KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1007 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2005, with the Rev. Philip A. Beck, her pastor, assisted by Rev. Jack Hartman, chaplain of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery, Harrison.
