My friend from birth, I can't believe you are gone. You were one of a kind and someone everyone loved. You made an impact on more people in your short life than many will in their lifetime. Your relationships were sincere and you had a way to make everyone smile. I can still see your smiling face and picture you telling your stories. You were the life of any party and always were up for a good time. I hope the memories stay clear. You left us way too soon, you should be here to grow old with. I know heaven has to be so sweet and I can't wait to see you there one day. Until then, we will help each other out and hold one another a little tighter. You were something very special, Heath, and I hope you can see how much you were loved. I miss you, friend.

Your laughter, humor and infectious laugh will be hard not to ever get to hear again. At the same time those are the things we will hold onto in the hard times. The stories and memories you have left behind, leave us belly laughing. Alex and Colby have the most amazing stories that they have shared. I can't stop thinking of all of our stock shows we traveled together and the experiences we got to share. I can't wait To see your girls grow up and experience all the stock show fun!
You leave behind a legacy like no other! The number of people that were there for Family in memory of you was out of the world. We all love you big!!!!

This town lost a man who I only had the privilege of meeting a few months ago. We were in the same Sunday school class together. What I knew of him for the short amount of time I was fortunate enough to know him was that he was so genuinely friendly. He desired for those around him to be entertained and smiling.
I get to teach his daughter and watch her sweetness and know that she learned a lot of that from her Daddy and now be heartbroken for her as she won't get to hug her Daddy again or smile with him again.
What I learned in that short amount of time is to love those around you whether you know them or not. Include those around you, be aware of those around you. So many times we can walk through life feeling invisible,
Heath Hodges was a man who didn't allow any one to feel invisible. I pray that the legacy he left behind is carried on and that each of us do our best to include everyone around us even if just with a quick smile and a funny joke.
I can still hear his laugh and pray that you, his family, can always remember that and hold on to the fact that he was such a good soul who touched the lives of more people than he could even know.

Heath, you were absolutely hands down the most incredible person I have ever known. Always had a big smile on your face and always made those around you feel loved and important. You was such a good son, father, husband, grandson , brother and friend. It will be hard on everyone not having you here with us. But knowing your in heaven with your father, grandpa and other loved ones give us peace. You will always be missed but never forgotten. Until we meet again my friend, I love you dearly.

Heath was an incredible man. From grade school to high school and even now every memory, moment or story I have of him has a positive light. He truly reminds us what is important in life. Faith, family and friends. To be kind to all, smile no mtter what and give all the glory to God. May his legacy continue on. Keeping you and the girls in our prayers.

Heath was such a wonderful man to know as a friend and a business partner. He was always so friendly and kind regardless of the situation. The outpouring of love by friends and family both near and far are a true testament to the person he was. I truly hope he knew just how much his life meant to us all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Heath's family and friends. May we all remember how genuine and caring Heath was and may we pass that heartfelt friendship on to others as a tribute to the kind of life Heath led.

You were one of a kind! Lifelong friends like you are something special. The amount of wonderful memories I have with you are priceless, and are what we have all reminisced and leaned on this week. The legacy you leave is one of a kind. One your girls and family will forever be proud of. You were taken from this earth far too soon, but we know where you are, and we will all see you again one day! Until then.....we have only amazing memories, each other, and our faith in God to help us grieve and live life the way we know you want us to live it. Love you my friend....until we meet again!

We know He has brought amazing Godly people to them who will remind them often that their Daddy was a great man and father.
Hold tight to his laughter, heart and your memories in the days/years ahead.

Just been sick to my stomach since I first heard the news. Seriously, all sides of Heath's family have had more than their share of loss. This is so sad. He was truly loved by the Iowa Park Community, which will embrace his family in his memory! The most important thing now is those beautiful little girls. Good to know they have three amazing guardian angels watching over them, dad and grandpas. My most sincere condolences for all family. Keeping you in my prayers.

1 John 4:18 Do not fear love, for perfect love drives our fear.

I pray you will live a life of love, always knowing that God is in control. He has great plans for you. Stand firm in your faith. He is the only way through.I pray you all find peace and healing.

So sorry for your lost. Heaths spirit was a joy to all who knew him. I was fortunate to have him as a brother of Alpha Gamma Rho at TSU, but also knowing him growing up in FFA living in Chillicothe. So sorry I could not attend his service. His smile, humor, and love for people are the three qualities of character that I will remember most about him. As I recollect our days at TSU, AGR, Duck Camp, Orientation Advisors, socials, and just hanging out are only a few of my memories of him. God bless you in the days to come as your mourn his loss. My prayers are with you as his family and friends. Till we meet again my brother, rest in peace Heath. Love, Brad and Carrie Obenhaus

Heath you were here since the day I was born. I don't know life without you around. You were a lifetime friend! Lifetime friends are treasures. I am clinging so tight to our memories. Things we can never get back, but we have tell stories of and allow your legacy to live on. You were infectious! That personality you had was why and how you loved like you did. Your friends have cried, grieved and laughed together honoring your legacy. We rallyed around one another sharing our stories of you. At any moment we felt we were just waiting on you to bust in the door to join us. We all have a void in heart now- you were taken to soon. Thanks for loving and Living BIG! You did so much good in 35 years and your impact went deep and wide. You have showed your friends we need to be intentional and value our time and each other. You will be dearly missed Hodge. As our new reality hurts, we do know you are with Jesus and you are getting us a big fish fry prepared for when we all join you one day. Until then friend.....

Heath teased me like a big brother all through high school and at every stock show, FFA competition and convention. I credit him in part for my thick skin today. When we were both at Tarleton I had more great times with him including when we were both hypnotized at Duck Camp. I don't think I'll ever forget him dropping to the stage floor sizzling like bacon. Heath has also taught me to love big and not take things too seriously. What a blessing he was to everyone he came in contact with.

Yesterday's tribute to sweet Heath was amazing! I have so many sweet memories of that boy. Two always pop up in my mind. Hearing a sweet little knock on my door and finding a beautiful little boy standing there with his big smile asking if Courtney can come out and play when he visited his great grandmother. The other is when I would take several out haunted housing and Heath and Brandon Criswell would grab ahold of my back and make me go through first. I teased them about being big football players and acting like sissy's. His laugh and smile will be missed. I'll see you again sweet Heath. Love you.

I know I'll see you again one day, so until then rest easy and know that we enjoyed your time with us.

Cathy,Tim, and Family,There are few people that when seperated by miles and years, can leave such an imprint that you feel like they are still a part of you. We lived in Iowa Park not quite 5 years and in that short time it had to be some of the happiest years in our families lives. Heath was such a shining part of that. He had an infectious laugh, a huge heart, a true knowledge of the word friend, and a blessing in my sons and our lives. I pray God please comfort this family, both kin and friends. God please let his love of life grow in his babies hearts. Prayers for you all and much love.

A flicker of light can be blown out in a flash but the memories of a loved one is a flame that will stay lit in our hearts forever. I love you all and i hope someday soon you can endure and push through the pain of what was left behind.

Psalms 9:10 Those who know your name Lord trust in you. For you Lord have never forsaken those who seek you.

God has a plan and it may not be our own. But he will never stray so far that you are unable to reach him. In moments like this we question faith, we question why, why Him. You may not know the Masters plan but have faith that the Master planned it. God knows! God called Heath and Heath answered.

So reach towards God and He will pull you through this. And he will do it in baby steps, as he knows you have every right to live in this moment as long as it takes for closure.

Love you Mal Mal-
