Heather Bowman Obituary
July 6, 1981 - February 24, 2022
Heather Michelle Bowman, 40, of Hickory, went to her heavenly home Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, after a period of declining health.
Heather was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Clarence and Magelene Bowman; maternal grandmother, Pat Morrison Little; special uncle and aunt, Bobby Little Jr. and Robin Allen; and special cousin, Marie Allen.
She was born July 6, 1981, in Catawba County. Heather was one of those people that never met a stranger; she loved the beach, traveling and being with family, and her son, who was the love of her life and was the world to her. Heather had a strong faith and believed in putting everything in God's hands.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, who called her his Angel, Martin Williams of the home; son, Myron Bowman of Hickory; mother, Michelle Ward and husband, Bobby of Galax, Va.; father, Ronnie Bowman of Conover; first cousin, Paul Allen and wife, Jennifer and their daughter, Haiden; her special aunt and uncle, Alice and Darrell Freeman; special cousin, Sarah Freeman, all of Hickory; very special grandpa, Bobby A. Little Sr. of Conover; special friend, Kandi Tomblin and husband, Keith; special cousin, Macy Cook; and her fur baby "Boss." She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 27, at Bass-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Eric Hauss and Jared Payne officiating. The service will be live-streamed on Bass-Smith Funeral Home's Facebook page. The Family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Keith Tomblin, Logan Walters, Kaden Tomblin, Daniel Little, Jason Chapman, Alex Chapman, and Johnny Parker will serve as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Melvin Harris and Linsey Jones.

I am deeply saddened by Heathers death. I taught her school and loved her so very much! I recently ran into her at the grocery store. We hugged, we talked, but she tell me she was sick. One of the sweetest girls on Earth. She will be sorely missed. I will never forget her. Love and sympathy to all who cared for her as I did. Mrs T
