Still can't believe you are gone. I know you wouldn't want me to be moping around and sad, and most days I'm not, but I really miss you. It's been a challenge to say the least, not being able to talk with you anymore, or feel the sunshine that was your presence. I am grateful that you were my friend. You always had my back, unlike any other. I'll do my best to make sure I keep in touch with your mom and brother. Until we meet again my dear friend. I love you Heather.

Heather was the best friend I ever had. She was always there for me, especially after my brain injury when I lost a lot of friends. My heart is broken at the thought of never getting to see her sweet face or get to talk about life and how to cope with it all. Not a bad word was ever spoken between us in the three decades since we first met at Booker High School. My dear friend, I pray we will meet again one sweet day. God bless your memory until then, my truest friend.
