Heather Caroline McNair

Our wonderful Mother, Nana, Sister and Friend to many passed away Wednesday March 1, 2023 at the age of 76. We take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with our father and beloved husband Don (2007). Mother of Andrea Charters (Jim) and Laurie McNair. Sister to Norman Hagen (Linda). Predeceased by her siblings Tom and Robin and her parents Norman and Doris Hagen. There was no greater joy than her grandson Jimmy Charters. Mom also helped and loved many others over the years that still affectionately spoke with her often and referred to her as "their Mom". Heather worked for over 30 years as a secretary for the HWDSB and retired at 70 years old. Prior to that she worked for the Burlington Seniors Center and started out after high school working at Chedoke Hospital. Mom and Dad loved to travel the world every chance they could get. When Dad passed away in 2007, Mom was still travelling often but with her daughters, son in law Jim and grandson Jimmy. Mom was a guest at Miners Bay Lodge in Haliburton Ontario for over 50 years gaining many friendships and enjoyed every summer there. It is befitting that Mom passed away only several days after spending a week on a cruise with her family. Despite many years of challenging health issues, Mom still had her wittiness, humour, cheeky grin and faculties until the end. We are grateful for the amazing care that Dr M. Puglia gave Mom over the years and during her last days in the hospital. Thank you to Dr C. Stevenson and Dr Hategan for their ongoing support in our Mom's care. A special Thank You to the nurses and their teams on C3 and Emergency at the Juravinski Hospital for the care and compassion they showed our Mom and family during her last days. Visitation will be held at the M.A Clark and Son's Funeral Home. 567 Upper Wellington St in Hamilton from 12 - 2 on Sunday March 5 2023 with a funeral service to follow at 2 pm. Grave side interment will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. 1895 Main St West Hamilton on Monday March 6, 2023 at 2 pm. Donations to the Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family.

May she rest in peace and be in the arms of the Lord and dance with our Dad again. We love you.
