Darlene Mae (DuVall)
Darlene Mae (DuVall) Skolnik, age 65, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Darlene was born on January 24, 1948, in Toledo, Ohio to David and Evelyn (McDougal) DuVall. She was a graduate of Woodward High School. Darlene was a garage sale enthusiast, had a talent for working with different craft items, and had a love for different kinds of music and musical instruments.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn. She is survived by her father, David DuVall; children, Brian M. (Heather) Skolnik, Dawn Melcher and Craig A. Skolnik; 4 grandchildren, and siblings, Kathy Wilson, David (Julie) DuVall, Carl (Lori) DuVall, Linette (Ron) VanCamp, Roger (Penny) DuVall, Karen (Ed) Painter and Scott (Mary) DuVall.
The family will be receiving friends in the Urbanski Funeral Home 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo, Ohio on Saturday, December 21, 2013, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Sunday December 22, 2013, at 1 p.m. in Zion United Brethren Church 4830 Weston Rd Blissfield, MI. Darlene was such a joy to our Keygate Manor family! She always made everyone smile! Everyone loved her and those of us who were blessed enough to share some of her fun things, such as garage sales, crafts, etc. have been truly blessed. I really miss her so much! However, God now has a very special angel, and I look forward to seeing her again in the future. Darlene you were a great fighter;now it is time for you to rest in peace. To your family, I wish you all the love and strength to know that your mother is in a much better place, and no longer in pain.
