Helen Budd Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 12, 2021.
Passed away peacefully on February 9th, 2021 at Margaret Bahen Hospice in her 97th year. Beloved wife to the late Kenneth Budd and the late Joseph Hodsdon. Loving mother to Mark Hodsdon (Nancy), Janet Wasson (Steve), Kimberley Budd (Frank Urquhart) Christopher Budd (Faye). Adored Nana of Jaclyn, Cameron, Jordan, Kristen, Jenna, Amy, Mallory, Nicole and Lauren. Third of 11 siblings and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Helen will also be missed by her many dear friends and their children. Helen was a seamstress and lovingly made many wedding dresses for her daughters, sisters and several nieces. She was a long time resident of Orchard Beach and loved to entertain. In her generosity, she opened her cottage/home to many friends and family giving us such cherished memories. A private family funeral service was held on February 11, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow when COVID-19 restrictions permit. In lieu of flowers, the Budd Family requests that you consider making a donation to a charity of your choice in Helen's memory.

I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. She was a lovely person with a good heart. I spent many weekends at your mothers cottage on Lake Simcoe and had wonderful times with all the other guests that she welcomed with her generosity. Once again I am so sorry four loss.
