Helen Gale Obituary
She was born in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada on June 24, 1931, the daughter of Charles R. Moore Sr. and Harriett P. (Bugden). Helen was raised and educated both in Canada and Somerville, Mass. She resided most recently in Dover, but remained a proud "Newfie."
Helen was a devout Catholic who was active as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Michael's Parish in Exeter and, more recently, a communicant of St. Mary's Parish in Dover. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a great person and friend. Her greatest joy was spending time with family. She was an inspiration to us all.
Helen is survived by her six children; Stewart Gale and his wife, Donna, of Hampton, Sharon Galvin and husband, Peter, of Dunstable, Mass., Sherry Hamel and fiance, Michael O'Leary, of Ona, W.V., Michael Gale and wife, Laura, of Newburyport, Mass., Cindy Loporcaro of Dover, and Cathy Thompson and fiance, Brian Whipple, of Claremont. She is also survived by her brothers Charles and Jerry Moore, and sisters Betty Crawford, Kay Durkin and Margie Farrell. Her thirteen grandchildren; Stewart Gale, Kristen Deveney, Pete, Matt and Thomas Galvin, Jason and Jeremy Hamel, Katy and Daniel Gale, Christina and Nick Loporcaro, Greg and Nick Thompson, as well as three great-grandchildren; Christopher and Kelsey Hamel and Mya Galvin also survive her.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at 11 a.m. at The Parish of The Assumption at St. Mary's Church at the corner of Chestnut and Third streets in Dover. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Portsmouth.

I spent many hours over many years talking with Helen and enjoying her vivacious love of all things including her being both a Newfie and happy New Englander....Togther with a third friend we met couple of times in Our Common Home of Claremont - Charlestown -before all three of us settled in our various final homes in Florida, Western Mass and SEa Coast Dover NH
