Mrs. Hart was born March 9, 1933 to Estella and Willie Shelby in Austin, Texas. Sisters are brothers are Marie Shelby Thompson, Emma Perry, Mildred Barr (deceased) and Lee Edward Shelby (deceased), Herman Shelby (deceased). Most of her 80 years of life was lived at 1906 East 11th Street. All through her life she attended Holy Cross Catholic Church. Mrs. Hart worked as a home health aide and she also worked for AISD at the elementary schools of Blackshear and Sims. She was a crossing guard at 11th and Chicon for many years before declining health issues forced her to give it up. Mrs. Hart loved all the many children that crossed her corner. She enjoyed playing pokeno and bid wist. She was always up for a good game. Mrs. Hart loved to grow "anything". If you could plant it she would. And lastly, W.B. no more carrot sticks for you. LOL.
