McANDREWS _ Helen 1919 - 2007 Helen McAndrews (nee MacKillican) of Vauxhall, beloved wife of the late Jerome McAndrews passed away peacefully at Extendicare Lethbridge on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at the age of 88 years. Helen is survived by her children Sandra (Terry) Baker of Lethbridge, Karen (Gerald) Hill of Calgary, Greg (AnneMarie) McAndrews of Calgary, Dolores (Doug) Wolosuk of Vauxhall, Michael (Bridget) McAndrews of Edson, Janice (Jim) Pedlar of Calgary and Marjorie Smith of Calgary; fifteen grandchildren Tim, Tara (Jeff), Nancy, Craig (Gina), Carey, Lisa (Paul), Kara, Kris (Carla), Jamie (Aaron), Patrick, Gavin, Colin, Graham, Shawn and Dustin; twelve great-grandchildren Shae-Lynn, Brayden, Dylan, Addison, Ewan, Cameron, Brant, Hayden, Ashlyn, Catarina, Anthony and Riley. She was predeceased by her husband Jerome; parents, four sisters and two brothers. Helen was born at Purple Springs, Alberta to George and Emma MacKillican. She taught school for thirty-two years primarily in Vauxhall. Helen loved time with her family, music, curling, golf, bridge and travelling. She was a member of the Vauxhall Legion Ladies Auxiliary and was always willing to help when called upon. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the SOUTHLAND FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, December 2, 2007 between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Monday, December 3, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Alana Johnson of the Parkview United Church in Vauxhall officiating. Burial to follow at the Vauxhall Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through www.southlandfuneral.com . If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Helen's name may be made directly to the Alzheimer Society for Lethbridge and Area, No. 402, 740 - 4 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 0N9.
