I first started at the Regency I worked as a server and I always horse around and when I did that I heard this big beautiful laugh I turn around and I see this lovely lady laughing at me! Well I fell in love with that laugh and beautiful smile! After that so was always trying to make Helen laugh and I did. That made my heart warm inside I heard her say to her friend we need 10 more of her! I just loved her! I´m going to miss her giggle and beautiful smile!

Helen was a lovely woman to chat with and always happy to see my husband and I when we stopped by. She reluctantly came to our wedding in 2018 and I think she had more fun than half the people there!
I will miss her sass. Rest in peace Helen

So sorry to hear of Helen's passing - my condolences to you Kenny.
Helen was my tenant for several years before she moved to the Regency, over that time we became friends. She'd often tell me about her family. Kenny was central to Helen's life, his daily calls from BC meant the world to her. She'd talk about their conversations and always looked forward to Kenny and Bill's next planned visit with her. She spoke of her grandsons and her great grandchildren with pride and would never miss sending a card for birthdays and Christmas.
She loved to sit and chat in the apartment or outside sitting in the sunshine during the summer. Neighbours would pop by and people would wave when they'd see her. She'd often reminisce about the happy years she spent raising her boys with Doug in Warsaw. She'd smile telling how he loved to play his guitar and about the many musical sessions he and his friends had over the years in the garage beside their house, neighbours would flock to the parties where there was always lots of food, drinks and laughter.
She had a cleaning routine that would put a drill sergeant to shame, she kept her apartment and car clean as a new pin.
I met her brother, sister and extended family at some family events that I attended with her and it was clear to me how important Helen was to them all.
I saw Helen only a few weeks ago and she was in good form, I was so sorry to her of her passing.

Having Helen as a neighbour was something I enjoyed for over a decade living in Lakefield. She would always stop to chat and always found a way to make my family laugh. She was a great lady and will be missed by our Burnham Street neighbourhood.

The night before she passed I had the honour of sitting with her at her request. She felt off and just needed someone to talk to and tell her everything would be ok . She told me that she appreciated me more than I knew. I simply replied it´s my pleasure . She hugged me and I had the next day off ( Wed) and that she would see me again on Thursday . I love my job and put everything into the care of the residents , this no matter how many times it happens is the worst part of my job as good byes have never been easy for me. Good Bye Helen may you soar with the eagles and dance up there like no one is watching
