Peterson, Helen Marie 92 Aug. 02, 1921 Jan. 19, 2014 Helen Marie (Weiburg) Peterson, loving wife and wonderful mother, was born in Portland on Aug. 2, 1921, and went to heaven Jan. 19, 2014, from natural causes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; parents; and siblings. She is survived by her children, Ron, Bob, Nancy Crorey, Kathy "Chick" Lorenzen and their spouses; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grand- children; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She lived in Portland all her married life and attended Fremont Methodist Church for many years. At her request, there will be no funeral service.

It was always delightful to find Helen on her front porch during the summer evenings. She always welcomed me to sit with her and we'd chat until the sun had set. My husband also stopped by with our little dog since he wouldn't go on until Helen patted him! We will always treasure her.

As the organist at Fremont UMC I always knew where to look for Helen each Sunday. I remember when a certain gentleman in the church had a fancy for Helen.........She was a darling and to know her was to love her.
