Momma and I would watch the cooking show together in her later days. I let her know she could be the boss of me and instruct me on making some of the yummy meals from the shows.
I still liked her home cooking best!

Our Momma would do anything to bring JOY to our hearts. Back in the day when you couldnt just go buy a band shirt, Momma special made this LOVERBOY sweatshirt for Jami simply to make her heart happy!

Momma shared with me on the day before her passing ... God is Good! She shared of how blessed she felt to have the Love of her family and friends.

This world will not be the same without you in it! I was so lucky to be born with you as my Mom, What an inspiration and beacon of hope and light. Even though we were separated for some years, my heart always remembered our special bond. What life threw our individual ways we both handled the best way we knew. I always had that longing to see and be with you again, and when it happened it was as if time had never been taken from us..........but it was and it made two very stronger willed women out of you and I. the adventures that we have had will forever be memories in my heart and mind. I LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER MOM!
Also blessed to have such amazing, uniquely different, (but still the same! LOL) and independent sisters and brothers, that I could not imagine my life without, so we are the "Silly Slater's" and will always have each other.

Mom loved her house on Oregon Street. Anyone could stop by at any time and she would welcome them in with good home cooked food and great conversation. Many hearts were helaled around her dining table.
