Momma and I would watch the cooking show together in her later days. I let her know she could be the boss of me and instruct me on making some of the yummy meals from the shows.
I still liked her home cooking best!

Helen E,
This world will not be the same without you in it! I was so lucky to be born with you as my Mom, What an inspiration and beacon of hope and light. Even though we were separated for some years, my heart always remembered our special bond. What life threw our individual ways we both handled the best way we knew. I always had that longing to see and be with you again, and when it happened it was as if time had never been taken from us..........but it was and it made two very stronger willed women out of you and I. the adventures that we have had will forever be memories in my heart and mind. I LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER MOM!
Also blessed to have such amazing, uniquely different, (but still the same! LOL) and independent sisters and brothers, that I could not imagine my life without, so we are the "Silly Slater's" and will always have each other.
love and peace be with each and every one of us as we heal together and love each other unconditionally.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Mom,

Years and miles parted our paths although your love always connected us. As I've grown older and never fully understanding the love of a mother it became evident in a simple memorial to you O'Great.

Seeing for a moment all the things even in death a family, together for better or worse.

The love of a mother last forever through her life and is carried on in the life of all those she touched. Thank you for the love, life and happiness you spread to us all.

Thats what made you special, no matter what was going on in the world, I know I could go to OGreats house for a laugh and a hug. Thank You for all the great memories we shared, I will cherish them forever. You will always be in our hearts forever, and I know you will be watching over us til we see you again.
