I was 18 years old in 1970 when Mr and Mrs Bernstein hired me to work for them at Blodgett´s Music. You may not remember me Evelyn, but I remember you and Rick... your mom and dad were kind and loving to me and I learned so much from them. To this day, I still have memories of Teddy attending my bridal shower and your mom and dad at my wedding! And this morning, she visited me in my dreams. Thank you Teddy for your visit and for your love and guidance all those years ago when I needed it the most..

What a gem of an individual. So honored to have worked with her on starting the "Petting Zoo" back in the 90's - a fitting legacy for a wonderful woman.

My deepest sympathy to the family.

Teddy was a beautiful person and friend and I was fortunate that on occasion she would give up her seat at a Pop concert at Symphony Hall because she knew I'd enjoy the performance. I loved Blodgetts and miss it to this day! Rest in sweet peace.

Dearest Evelyn, and Family,
You and the memory of Teddy are in our thoughts. Teddy was such an inspiration to us, in so many ways, as you well know. There will never be another Teddy and she will be in our hearts forever. With our deepest sympathy, David and Julie Bowerman
(Evelyn, we have lost your contact info...do you still have ours?)

I worked with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra for many years, and was directly involved with Teddy and the Musical Petting Zoo. It was her baby and her passion. She was always willing to donate and repair our instruments. She was a very generous person with a huge heart. She will always be remembered at the SSO, and will be forever missed.

Condolences to you Evelyn and family. Teddy and Paul were such wonderful people. I recall teaching lessons at the store on Worthington Street. And carpooling to Holyoke Orchestra with Paul and Sam Steinhaur, Ruth Cousins, and Edna Macaulay. Blodgett's was an institution in Springfield. There are so many wonderful memories! May Teddy's memory be for a blessing.

When I came to Springfield to work at The Springfield Symphony and later StageWest, I got to know Teddy, because she was able to find me the obscure sheet music I needed. I moved to Mattoon Street, and often stopped by to chat. Teddy and Blodgett's were a key part of the cultural life of Springfield for many years, and I'm so glad to have gotten to know her. Condolences to her family.

Teddy was one of the kindest, most generous and loving people we have ever known, and her friendship was immensely valued. Her support of the arts and artists was among her finest attributes. Teddy will be missed by all who knew her.
