March 9, 1959 - January 22, 2022
Tacoma, Washington - Ronald B. Bishop passed away on January 22, 2022, following a courageous fight of Multiple Myeloma cancer.
Ron was born and raised in Port Orchard, Washington the third son of Mable and Leslie Bishop. He spent his youth in Boy Scouts and wrestled in high school. Ron graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1977 and then joined the Marine Reserve Corps where he served until March of 1983. He is a recent retiree of The Boeing Company with thirty-five years of service.
Ron loved swimming, kayaking, beaches, music, camping, and hiking. He was an avid reader, loved movies and puzzles. He was a loving father, husband, and a good friend to many.
Ron is survived by his wife, Barbara, his three children, Ashlee, Brian and Kylee, two stepchildren, Jordana and Sam (wife Ashley). Three grandchildren he adored, Kendell, Henry and Olivia. Brothers, Robert, Leslie (Robin), sisters Patricia (Fred) and Laurie (Joe). And many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers please send a donation to your favorite charity. We would like to send a BIG thank you to the wonderful staff of Nurses and Doctors at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, U/W Medical Center and St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma that took excellent care of Ron during his illness.
Services will be held at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home in Seattle.

The Korean War Veterans Association Department of Florida and Chapter 173 Casselberry, FL. send our deepest condolences on the passing of our Brother In Arms Ronald B. Bishop (US Marine Reserves 1983).
He served his country well and honorably.
May he Rest In Peace.
