All of my memories of Uncle Henry give me happiness and smiles. When he came to visit me in Canada he shared some great and funny stories, making it hard to focus on a family card game. In my early childhood he was the family photographer, taking movies of vacations, birthdays and holidays. He even brought his vintage movie projector and movies (which he maintained over 60 years) when he came to visit.
When we would talk on the phone, there was never a time he didn't tell me how much he missed his wife Dorothy. Now they are together again.
You will be greatly missed Uncle.
May you rest in peace.

One of the most recent memories I have of my Uncle Henry was when we invited him for a "road trip to Canada" to visit with Gloria. The car was packed to the brim with people and luggage, and we go and pick him up, and I asked him where his suitcase was, he said right here, and handed me a small antique suitcase with travel stickers all over it. He said that's the only suitcase he's ever owned, and still uses. It was great fun just to see all the travel stickers he had on that suitcase and for him to tell a bit about where he had been with that suitcase. During the road trip, I was driving and he had a window seat, and wouldn't let go of the hanging strap above the window during the entire 11 hour trip. I started to wonder if maybe my driving was making him a bit nervous but he responded, "that's why that strap is there in the car, to hang on to". It was a privilege to have that road trip & visit with Uncle Henry and hear all the funny stories he told; we were laughing all the way to Canada! Whenever he spoke of Aunt Dorothy there was always tears in his eyes, and although there is great sadness that he is gone, its nice to know he is now with her. He will truly be missed!
