HENRY LEE, 76
REDDICK, FL. - Mr. Henry Lee Godwin, Sr. , age 76, transitioned this life to be with the Heavenly Father on August 21, 2015, Avante at Ocala. He was a graduate of Howard High School (class of 1958). Mr. Godwin served in the United States Air Force. He was employed at Highland Tractor Company for many years. His poetic works captured the hearts of many.
Mr. Henry Godwin is proceeded in death by his son, Dwayne L. Godwin
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: a devoted wife of 53 years, Mrs. Pinellas Godwin, Reddick, FL, sons Henry (Sharrie) Godwin, Jr, Orian (Shirelle) Godwin, Cedrick Godwin, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sisters, Mary Wright (Wilburt), Martha Luke (Willie B), Mae Smith, and Bernice Godwin, brothers, Joseph Godwin, Raynard Godwin (Alice) and Raymon Godwin (Bonnie), sister-in-laws, Mae Brooks (David), Vivian Robinson (Harry), and Joretta Akpo-Sanni, brother-in-laws, Carnell Brewton, and Amin Shaheed (Vera), a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
Funeral service for Mr. Henry Lee Godwin, Sr. will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 29, 2015 at New St. John MBC, Rev. Dr. Tommy L. Brooks, Pastor, Eulogist, Rev. Izell James, Sr. Interment will follow in Liberty Chapel MBC Cemetery. The cortege will proceed from Blue Sink Community Center, Reddick, FL. at 10:00AM.
Wake services for Mr. Godwin will be held from 6:00 until 7:00 on Thursday at New Chapel MBC, 9719 N. W. 115th Ave, Ocala, FL Visitation will be held on Friday at Hadley-Brown and & Paulk Funeral Home from 2:00PM until 7:00 PM. (352) 620-0573.
