Henry (Hank) Dalton Jr.

October 9, 1938 - October 12, 2022

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:4

Our beloved Henry (Hank) Dalton Jr. entered the presence of God at 3am October 12, 2022. Celebrating his 84th birthday just 3 days prior, he was surrounded by his cherished daughter Olivia, treasured son Darrin, and beloved wife of 42 years, Tina.

Born October 9th, 1938 to Henry Hervia Dalton Sr. and Lillian, in Somerton, Arizona, they moved to Tulare County in 1950. Hank attended Redwood High School and entered the United States Army serving as an Engineer and Light Weapons Infantryman camped at Fort Carson Colorado. He was Honorably Discharged October 15th, 1964 as SP4 E-4.

Working 25 years for Pirelli Armstrong Tires he retired, and due to his natural love of landscaping, was asked to landscape a new home builder's front and back yard. Before he knew it, having never even passed out a business card, that launched him into his own landscaping business which became a great passion and work of joy until 2013. Throughout the years Hank also engaged in activities such as body building, singing in a Quartet, and re-building his 1932 Ford, Deuce Coupe.

Hank met Tina in 1980 and together they were blessed with Olivia in 1983, followed by son Darrin in 1990. His pride and joy were fulfilled as he raised his two children. He was fully engaged in their lives each step as Olivia became Doctor Olivia Dalton, and Darrin married Faviola who together gave him David and Daniel (grandsons).

In 2002, while headed to church for the first time as a family, Tina spotted Hank's niece waving them down as they passed a small church. Turning around to go back, they ended up at Restoration Ministry becoming a key member of the worship team until 2015 when his body limited him. Though the wear and tear on his body from the hard labor throughout the years reduced his own ability to landscape, he mentored his son Darrin and helped impart into many others lives with his skills as well as his love of the Bible.

Hank was predeceased by both parents, his sister Hervalene Dalton, nephew Walter and niece Winnie. He is survived by his loving wife Tina Dalton, children Olivia Dalton, Darrin Dalton, and daughter-in-law Faviola Dalton, Grandchildren David and Daniel Dalton, nephews Mark A. O'keith (Jackie), Eddie Segura (Yvonne), nieces Janice, Jamie and Patricia Edwards, many spiritual children and grandchildren, as well as a host of friends and valuable clients.

Celebration of life for our beloved Husband, Dad, Poppa, Uncle, and Friend will be held December 3, 2022 at Hadley Marcom Funeral Chapel, 1700 W. Caldwell Ave, Visalia, CA at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Visalia Emergency Aid.

"I thank my God every time I remember you." Phillipians 1:3

Uncle Hank was an extraordinary person. He was a good friend and the years from 15 on until I was in my 60´s he was a presence in my life. He landscaped my house out in the country and was my Gardner for many years. He will be missed by all of us who knew him and loved him. My sincere condolences to Tina and his children that he cherished. He was a beautiful human being with a voice like an angel. He ended his life singing for the Lord.
