Hello, I'm Ron Jensen. I loved that park. I reall Anthony Munos...(I was catching that game) hit a homer way over the screen in left field, way into the screet on (dmn it's been so long ago, but I recall everything else just seeing it happen.
And I was the youngest guy to his it over the fence. Dana Demuth was on the field. I was 14...I remeer rounding first and seeing thim rounding his hands I couldn't believe it..."What? are your serious?" He said "yep, keep rounding the bases" I've always wanted to go in touch with with him for that one.

When I started politicking in the early seventies, what better man could I have done it with than a classy guy like Henry? He made it so easy.
He made everybody feel special and he will be missed.

It was over 10 years ago that I was taking a flight out of O'Hare, when I recognized Congressman Hyde. We shook hands and I wished him a pleasant flight, for which he thanked me and extended me the same.
Henry helped me one time when Social Security messed up my records. He was a fine and decent
gentleman and our Country is better because of his service. May he rest in peace.

Dear Hyde Family:
We have had a long friendship with Henry Hyde and always have admired him. He was my host in D.C. when I was sworn in the the Bar there, and I felt very deeply honored having him with me. My husband, Tom, and I are pleased we had the opportunity to know him, and shall always have fond memories of him and Jeanne.
Please accept our very deepest sympathy on his passing, and know that you all are in our prayers.

Illinois and the U.S. has just lost a true statesman!!

Dear Hyde Family,
I just wanted to share a little story with you. One day, 20 years ago, my door bell rang and the gentleman was passing out flyers for the election. He was very kind and had a warm and friendly smile. It was only afterwards that I realised that I had actually met the man on the flyer. I was so impressed that it was him, in person. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed in so many ways. The people of DuPage appriciated him so very much.

To the hyde family,
It was summer of 2003, I was for the first time and at the age of 17 leaving home for washington, I was to attend the JSA program and one was incredably nervous about traveling across country on my own and two incredably nervous about how id do in debates and how to survive in this political course at georgetown i was taking. As I sat there nervously and waited for the plane to begin boarding, I saw a older man sitting across from me and thought that he looked familiar, I soon guessed it was Mr. Hyde, I walked up to him being a bit nervous as he was such a large figure that i knew about in politics and said hello, he said hello and I told him who I was and what I was doing. He asked me to sit down next to him seeing I was nervous, and i told him how scared i was of the debating and how to survive in the political world. He said "Its like life, just always be yourself, know what you want and no matter what go and get it." all through georgetown at debates and even into today in my political and personal life that quote continues to guide me and fuel me through any endevours I will ever accomplish, and all because of just a minute or two of talking with Mr. Hyde, a truly good man who will be missed but absolutely not be forgotten.

Dear Laura and Brothers:
I was sorry to learn of the loss of your dad. It is never an easy thing to lose a parent. After the second one passes one really feels somewhat like an orphan and finally all grown up.......no one there to "pick up the pieces" should some turmoil strike one's life. I'm sure you all take pride in all of his accomplishments during his political tenure. Know that his life's work is done and that he is at peace with the Lord. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless! The Vitale family

The Hon. Mr. Hyde was a great defender of the unborn. I had the pleasure of meeting him 10 or so years ago at the Palatine picnic and thank him for his work. Requiescat in pace. May perpetual light shine upon him.
