Henry Edward “Eddie” Mills, 81, of Newberry, widower of Cindy Richardson Mills, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Springfield Place. 

Born on February 20, 1943, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Henry Franklin and Marjorie Cannon Mills. Eddie was a retired truck driver and a member of Central United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his sons, Mark (Angela) Mills of Chapin, Brad (Tammy) Mills of Prosperity and Chris (Charli) Mills of West Columbia; grandchildren, Meredith (Austin) Cox, Cassidy (Allen) Jacobson, Samantha Belk, Martina (Bradley) Wicker, Dylan (Taylor) Belk and Matalyn (Hayden) Bulwinkle and great-grandchildren, Rylan Epps, Alexander Cox, Easton Wicker, Casyn Dominick, Stetson Wicker and Layla Belk. 

Eddie was predeceased by a brother, Randy Mills. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Stanley Sprouse. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm at the funeral home. 

Active pallbearers will be Mark Mills, Brad Mills, Chris Mills, David Hendrix, Wayne Nichols, and Larry Mills. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Guy Dana, Vince Osborne, Heber Long, Brandon Turner, Lewis Lee and Dr. Alan Paysinger.
