To the Pickelmann family, especially Jan: We are so sorry for your loss. We were just talking to you & Henry after church that particular Sunday, this past summer 2015. That was the first time I had actually met your husband. He seemed such a wonderful, caring Christian man and husband. I would have loved to have taught under him as I am sure he was a caring principal & teacher as well. Full of love for the Lord and humble in his service to Him! God Bless you Jan, and your family. We were going to come to the funeral but an uncle on Ricky's side had a funeral the same day. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the Pickelmann family, esp. Gary & Pat, Wayne & Susan, Jon and family, and Jen and family: I was so saddened to hear of the sudden passing of your brother, father, and grandfather. I am not sure if I ever met him, but the Christian way he lived his life is reflected in all of you. He was a special oldest brother; he was a wonderful father to his kids, and a proud Grampa to his grandsons. His memory will live on in you, and you can carry on his loving Christian attitude in all you do. I had hoped to see all of you in person, but sending a big hug, along with our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. He can now rejoice with his Savior in Heaven.

The world lost an awesome husband, father, grandpa, teacher, colleague, and most of all a very special friend. Henry's quick wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed...well done thou good and faithful servant. He deserves everything God has promised him. He left the party too soon...we wanted him to stay and visit, but God had other plans.

Jan, Jen and Jon
God's Grace was sufficient for Henry. He knew and believed this. He showed it thoroughout his life of ministry to God, his family and friends and to his fellow believers throughout the world. It was an honor and privilege to have known and loved him as a "brother" and we look forward to the moment when God calls us to join Henry in praising Him eternally in heaven.
God's peace, love, joy and strength.

This poor little candle can never adequately reflect the radiance of Henry, his spirit, or his love of family and friends. He was truly one of the kindest people I have had the privilege of knowing, always looking for the bright side to any dilemma. His wit and understatement always made me laugh. His sense of fairness and courage under fire, along with his determined thoughtful, truthful way of handling difficult situations always made me stand in awe of him. You couldn't ask for a better friend. He will be greatly missed. Go with God Henry, you certainly deserve your great reward. No more suffering or pain. Happy conversations with those who left before you. A better place for you, a sadder place for us here without you.
