Henry Simon, Jr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, 2022.
Henry Theodore Simon, Jr. (Ted), age 74, originally of Yardley PA, passed away on Wednesday October 26, 2022. Preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Patricia Simon, Ted is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lynn A. Simon. Beloved father of Henry T. Simon III and wife, Angie; Debbie Simon Grotheer and husband Mark; and Kimberly Simon Barger and husband William. Ted was blessed with seven grandchildren, Bailey Simon Farmer and husband William, Henry T. Simon IV, Marley Simon, Rebecca Chaffin-Grotheer, Rachel Grotheer, Amanda Barger and Jacob Barger and Great-Grandson Liam Farmer. Ted was a proud member of the Brandon Lodge 114 and the Egypt Shrine Clowns where he was better known as Thumper the clown. He proudly served in the Army National Guard. After many years of owning and operating Pine Valley Pools in Voorhees NJ, Ted moved to Brandon Florida to be closer to family and to retire in the sun. Ted was a founding member of the Racoon's breakfast club and enjoyed regaling the tales of his time as an owner of thoroughbred horses, his travels with Lynn, his record collection and time with his friends at the Greentop Bar. He was a proud man in his faith and patriotism. Whether he was watching his grandchildren play an instrument in the band or showing off their academic achievements, Ted was an amazing Papa and will be greatly missed. The family will be holding a private service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to LifePath Hospice or the Moffit Cancer Society
