Henry Tew Obituary
NEWTON GROVE — Mr. Henry Landon "Lum" Tew, Sr., 79 of Newton Grove, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Calvary Tabernacle Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 6570 High House Road, Salemburg, with the Rev. Eddie McKeel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He was born Au. 5, 1936 in Sampson County and is preceded in death by his parents, Arland and Mary Bradshaw Tew; four brothers and two sisters. He was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by seven children, Edward Landon Tew of Fayetteville, Terry Wayne Tew and wife Nancy of Fayetteville, David Ray Tew and wife Deanna of Newton Grove, Geneva Renee Tew of Roseboro, Henry Landon Tew, Jr. and wife Terry of Godwin, Daniel Arland Tew and wife Natalie of Fayetteville, and Kristen Lea Tew and husband Tom B. Jackson, Jr. of Roseboro; one sister, Carolyn Rose Barefoot and husband Odell of Fayetteville; 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 2-2:45 p.m. Wednesday in the church fellowship hall.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
