ZIMMERMAN _ Henry (Papa) 1914 - 2007 Passed away peacefully at the Rockyview Hospital with his family at his bedside, on April 16, 2007 at the age of 92. Papa is survived by his loving wife of sixty-nine years, Peggy; sons, Jerry (Dewey), Ron (Diane); five grandchildren, Terry, Candis (Tim) of Victoria, B.C., Heidi (Wil), Krista (Jarret), Tanya (Chris); as well as seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandson Danny in 2002. Papa was born in Surprise, Saskatchewan and moved to Olds, Alberta at the age of eight. Henry married Peggy in 1937 and they eventually moved to Calgary from Didsbury. In 1945 Henry became involved in Crown Seed & Feed, where he built many lasting relationships with those around him. 1974 saw Henry and Peggy move to their acreage west of town; this enabled Papa to nurture his passion for horses. The farm was a special place where beautiful memories were created with family and friends. Papa was a proud and caring man with a great sense of humor and wonderful charm. He will be deeply missed and memories of him will be forever cherished. As Papa always said... "This is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it."
