Most of his career was in Credit Management in the meat industry, working for Iowa Beef in Sioux City, American Beef in Omaha, Nebraska, and Monfort in Greeley, Colorado. Prior to moving to Greeley, Herb and Ann owned and operated a Coast to Coast Hardware store in Hartley, Iowa.
