Donald Vannatta Obituary
Donald R. Vannatta, 57, of Caldwell died Thursday, June 12, 2008 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 16 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell with Rev. Rick Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Caldwell Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm until 9 pm Sunday, June 15 and from 8 am until service time Monday.
He was a carpenter and contractor in the area for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Earl and Thelma Storm Vannatta.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James Scott and Georgia Ann Vannatta of Giddings; daughter, Sonia Vannatta Staub of Bryan; special friend and companion, Beth Gordy of Caldwell; and four grandchildren,Tiffany Hoelscher, Cortany Staub, Phillip Staub, III and Ashley Staub.
Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home of Caldwell is in charge of arrangements.

You, my friend are a truly special guy.I loved your lopsided humor and your slightly disgruntled views but most especially I loved your loyalty to those you loved, the part only a few people knew. I'll miss you,..........ALOT!
