To the family of Mr. Herman Patterson, I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Patterson's passing. He will be missed dearly. He was a very good man. He loved life and was always a pleasure to speak with. Grieve as we all will. As time passes we will start to remember the good things he accomplished in his life and the people he touched during his life. I was one of them. Mr. Patterson, Mrs. Patterson and Jessica used to drive all the way to Fort Jackson Commissary to shop. It was always a pleasure to see and greet them. May God bless your family sir. I know you are in good hands. I will miss you!!

One of the best, of the greatest generation, that was loved by family and friends for the way he treasured his family and those dear to him. He was a man of honor, truth and integrity and had a huge capacity for love of family. His friendship with my Dad was remarkable from over the years they shared the worries of kids and the laughter of remembering calling each other, searching and finding out if their kids were safe. I am honored to say I felt his love as though I was one of his kids.
