My "Group Process" class with Hy Resnick was the most meaningful of my MSW grad school experience. His presence stayed with me throughout my social work career and deeply influence my personal relationships. His memory is truly a blessing to me.

Hello Mary and Elizabeth (and hello to other family members too, although I haven't met you), I have learned, with much sadness, of Hy's death in 2015. What a loss to you all. I do send you my deepest sympathy.
I first met Hy in 1975, when I was looking for an organisational consultant to help us in our chemical factory in Scotland. He proved a tremendous help to our organisation, an international chemical company called ICI (and now known as AstraZeneca, which provides a without-profit Covid 19 vaccine). Hy worked with us in Scotland for a period of over 10 years and that we paid for him to come from Seattle USA to provide this consultancy speaks volumes for his work. He helped our shop floor supervisors, senior managers and different departments to work together in a new way, listening to and respecting one another differently. He was also a great mentor to me, personally, and we developed a deep friendship.
My memories include my wife Marie and I driving through Glasgow with Hy and Mary, singing Irish songs at the top of our voices, and Hy and Elizabeth coming to our wedding festivities in Gig Harbor.
We do send you our warmest thoughts.
Love, Richard and Marie

At this sad time post election and almost a year after Hy's passing, I recall with gratitude the values that he expressed through his work. My aunt Margaret Bernard was one of his NTL collaborators in the 60's, and I then had the honor of being one of his MSW students in the mid 70's. Hy's teaching and model have served me throughout my life and will continue in the days and years ahead. Today I also made a memorial gift to the SPLC.
May the time since Hy''s passing have lessened the pain to your family and left many cherished memories.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember babysitting for the Resnick children when I was a teenager, along with many other girls from the neighborhood, and being tired out by those three little active children! My sincere condolences to Hy's loved ones on this tragic loss. Hy was the best professor I had in my MSW program, and a wonderful mentor who helped me understand group process. He was the best listener I've ever known. So sad to loose him.

Hy was a beloved teacher of mine in the mid 1970's, and Mary and family I'm so sad for your loss. My husband Norman and I had dinner with you and Hy probably ten years ago, Mary - and I still remember that evening very fondly. Hy was a bright light for many of us.
May you find peace in these difficult times.
