Hernando Quintero Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 13, 2025.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hernando Quintero, who left this world on December 14, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on October 15, 1937, in the vibrant city of Cali, Colombia, Hernando lived a life rich in love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Nubia Quintero, with whom he shared a beautiful journey filled with unwavering love and support.

Hernando was a proud and loving father to his three children: Luz Marina, Isabel, and Anthony Quintero. His heart swelled with joy at the sight of his grandchildren-Kelly, Andres, Duvan, Leo, Christian, Marc Anthony, Aalyah, Ryan, and Alejandro-each one holding a special place in his heart. He also adored his great-grandchildren, Alexa, Nicoli, Lucas, and Elio, whose laughter and energy brought him immense joy.

Beyond his immediate family, Hernando was surrounded by a loving extended family, including many cherished nieces and nephews who brought warmth and happiness into his life. His home was always open, filled with the laughter of children and the love of family.

Hernando's spirit was defined by his incredible work ethic and dedication to helping others. As a respected volunteer firefighter in Colombia, he earned the affectionate nickname "Pucho," a testament to his bravery and selflessness. His commitment to protecting his community was a reflection of the deep care he held for those around him. After moving to the United States, Hernando continued to embody hard work and integrity during his many years at Sears Automotive, where he was a valued employee until his well-deserved retirement.

Hernando was not just a father and grandfather; he was a pillar of strength for his family and a cornerstone of his community. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched the lives of everyone he met, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. Hernando's legacy of love, dedication, and commitment to family will forever shine brightly in our lives.

Though he will be deeply missed, we find solace in the values he instilled in us and the countless memories we hold dear. Hernando's spirit will continue to inspire us, reminding us to cherish our loved ones and live life to the fullest.
