Hart, Hope Goettsch 97 Jan. 26, 1915 Feb. 14, 2012 Hope Goettsch Hart died at Laurelhurst Village due to complications following a hip fracture. She was the fifth child and last survivor of 11 children born to Edwin Pond Parks and Ella Mae (Elliott) Parks at the family homestead in Bower, S.D. She graduated from Rapid City High School in 1935. On March 27, 1936 she married George G. Goettsch in Rapid City, S.D. After moving to Minnesota, they had two daughters, Mona and Georgia. They moved to Portland in 1942 where Wilma was born. They continued to live in the Portland area where George died Feb. 18, 1969. She worked for Pacific Tel&Tel for over 20 years, retiring in 1979. She married Edward Hart on Sept. 22, 1979 and he died on Jan. 9, 1984. She enjoyed gardening, particularly flowers, all her life. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, fishing and traveling throughout the United States and Canada. She was preceded in death by her parents; all siblings; and her daughter Georgia EM (Lloyd) Needham. She is survived by daughters, Mona Marsh Moreland, Wilma (Conrad) Morgel; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-granddaughters; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Interment Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, 2 p.m. at Sunset Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements by Wilhelm's Portland Memorial.

I'm so glad to have seen her when she and daughter, Mona, visited in Spearfish where her sister (my mom) was in assisted living. I think that was in 2004. She was my last aunt. - Pat (Jacobsen) Breidenbach

we miss hope heart we loved her and we have one of her crafts a napkin holder on our kitchen table she made at a crafts fair when they had a bazzar at tremont church we loved her and we are proud that she was in our life and she will be greatly missed

I am so sorry to hear about Hope's passing. I loved her like a mother , and she was a very dear friend. I just know now that heaven is rejoicing because " Heaven is a family renuion" and I know without a doubt that all her family are happy to be together again. God rest her soul, and she will be greatly missed. Sorry for your lose.
