Horace Crowe Jr.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mr. Horace Crowe, Jr., 69, Gadsden who passed away Friday, September 28, 2012. Revs. Danny Battles and Billy Wise will officiate with burial at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing.
Mr. Crowe was born March 10, 1943 in Calhoun County and Married Eloise Underwood January 8, 1962. He retired from public works at the City of Gadsden and was a member of the Word of Life Church. He had a passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football, riding his horse "Bo" and the scenery of the Smokey Mountains. Mr. Crowe assisted in coaching the Gadsden Little League J.C.'s in 1983 and 1984. Those preceding him in death are his parents, Horace, Sr. and Maceil Crowe, great grandson, Carson Graham, four brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Eloise Crowe, children, Gary (Debbie) Crowe, Belinda (Nathan) Graham and Jonathan (Angela) Crowe, grandchildren, Landon Crowe, Amber (Ashley) Graham and Andrew Graham, step grandchildren, Josh (Brittani) Hamby, Leah Hamby, Adam Conrad, Caleb Conrad, step great- grandchildren, Jayson, Karson, Kennedy and Adelyn, brothers and sisters, James (Rachel) Crowe, Joyce (Travis) Jones, Eugene (Connie) Crowe, Carolyn Perkins, Evelyn (Steven) Avery, Betty Joe (Darrell) Hanson, Paul David (Rose Mary) Crowe
Several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be; Andrew Graham, Landon Crowe, Ashley Garmany , David Jones, Wayne Jones, Keith Waddell, Michael Underwood and Randy Underwood.
Honorary Pallbearer will be; granddaughter, Amber Graham and nephews.
The family extends special thanks to
Dr. Lewis Walker, Dr. Bruce Head, Dr. Steve Sanders, Dr. James Reddy. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
