We are so sad to hear about Howard. Howard never met a stranger and was so full of personality and good humor. May the lord wrap his arms around you and give you comfort.

Great memories of Howie, our chess team captain at the State Championship. With his flair for drama, he saw our team as warriors on the field of battle. I once won a match against Jeff Fox, whom Howie characterized in a chess magazine as “the Desert Fox”, and I as his faithful lieutenant in mortal combat. What a hoot. A great guy with a big heart. Sorry to hear of his passing.

I remember Howie from the chess club. I remember him being one of the most easiest people to get along with in high school. It was nice knowing him unfortunately after graduation never really got to keep in touch with him. Wish I had.
