Howard Eldon Ford

Howard Eldon Ford passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the age of 80. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 21 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brock Community Center, 2115 FM 1189, Brock, TX 76087.

Howard was raised in Millsap, Texas on the family farm with his sister, Betty and brother, Bobby. He graduated from Millsap High School in 1963 and served in the Army National Guard. Howard owned Ford Pest Control in Mineral Wells for over 20 years. He completed his career as a Maintenance Supervisor for Parker County and retired in June 2013.

Howard was an avid deer hunter and also enjoyed his two horses, Buck and TJ and his dog, Buddy. Following in his dad's footsteps, he served on the Fairview Cemetery Board and volunteered many hours. He was known for his ability to fix anything and received many calls from his daughter and friends for help. During his retirement he enjoyed meeting his breakfast buddies daily at the Switch and Jimmie's.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Eldon and Rosie Ford and sister, Betty Bishop.

He is survived by his daughter, Amber and husband, Scott Porter of Brock; and his granddaughters, Taylor Porter of Fort Worth; Jordyn and husband, Blaine Sieck of Fort Worth and brother, Bobby Ford and wife, Sherry of North Richland Hills; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
