I was a young man in IBM in the 60's and Howard was one on the first managers I worked for. I respected and admired him. He was a major influence in my life and career. I know he will be missed by those who love him.

I was saddened to learn of General Garrisons passing. As a young Second Lt. in the 27th ID, and later in the 27th Armrd Div. he provided the standard of performance and leadership we all strove for. His effect on all who served with him was profound and set the example for us to follow.

I had the privilege to have worked with Howard in IBM. His expertise in matters pertaining to security was second to none. I valued his advice as did everyone he worked with. He was a gentleman and a wonderful person. My deepest sympathy for your loss.

He was someone who made the rules and made them work. I remember well the new car from Don Owen Pontiac every year for 10 or 12 years. He knew how to get things done.
