Howard Nelson Hursey, Jr., 71 of Southport, NC, and formerly of Cardington, OH, passed away on December 28, 2019.
Mr. Hursey was born September 26, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Howard Nelson Hursey Sr. and Mae Lucille (Purdy) Hursey.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Vietnam Conflict.
Survivors include the love of his life, Carolyn Sue "Suzy" (McKenzie) Hursey; three sons: Todd (Karrie) Hursey, Jason (Erica) Hursey, both of Cardington, and Howard Nelson "Hersch" Hursey, III of Southport, NC; eight grandchildren: Brooklin, Hayden, Maddison, Shelby, Devin, Morgan, Darian, and Elijah Hursey; a brother, Walter Hursey; a sister, Lois Ramey, both of Westerville; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in the spring and will be announced.
