Hubert G. Bunney

The Rev. Hubert G. Bunney, 74, of 2806 Shady Grove, Honea Path, S.C., died the afternoon of March 9, 2008, in Rainey Hospice House.Born Feb. 2, 1934, in Ellwood City, he was a son of the late Alfred and Clementina Lias Bunney.He was married to the former Harriet Caldwell for 57 years. She survives.The Rev. Bunney was a minister for 45 years with five Assembly of God churches in Pennsylvania and New York.He was a 1957 graduate of the Assembly of God’s Eastern Bible Institute.The Rev. Bunney was a member of More Grace Fellowship, was president and founder of three Assemblies of God Bible schools and president of NSBI.In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Bidwell of Honea Path; three sons, Mark Bunney of Anderson, S.C., Daniel Bunney of Butler and Timothy Bunney of Melcroft, Pa.; a brother, the Rev. John Bunney of Avon, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road.A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at First Assembly of God.
