Hugh Montani Obituary
Old Bridge - Hugh Joseph Montani, 73, of Old Bridge, entered into eternal rest, July 13, 2018 at Hackensack Medical Center. He was born in Perth Amboy and formerly of Perth Amboy and Fords before moving to Old Bridge 30 years ago.
Hugh was the Office Manager at Robert Hofmann Law Firm in Perth Amboy for 50 years.
He was a member of the Italian Tripoli Club in Perth Amboy, and former Little League coach in Perth Amboy for over 20 years. He was an avid horse racing enthusiast and particularly liked the Saratoga Race Course.
Hugh is survived by his wife Karen S. George Montani, his children, Tracey Ann Montani and her husband Matthew Mercurio of Sewaren, and Hugh Montani of Perth Amboy, his granddaughter, Sophia Mercurio and siblings, Gary Montani of Greensboro,NC, and Gail Giordano of West Orange.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport. Visitation is Wednesday from 4 pm to 8 pm.

We met Hugh many summers ago when he, Mike and the guys rented next door to us. We enjoyed many great conversations on our porch about horse racing, the love of family and of course, all things Italian. I will remember Hugh's genuine friendliness, his deep laugh and kindness to me and my family. Godspeed, my friend. Dio ti benedica.

I don't know what to say. I just found out the passing of Hugh. My heart, prayers and condolences go to his wife, children, grandchildren and siblings. He was an awesome man who would do anything for anyone. I've known Hugh for the last 46 years. No one can replace him. He will be sorely missed.
