Hugh Clark Smyth EMORY, Va. Hugh Clark Smyth passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at Fairfax Hospital after a heart attack. Beloved husband of Pamela C. Mack; loving father of Steven H. Smyth; doting grandfather of Jacob, Mackenzie and Morgan Smyth. Hugh was born in Marion, Va., on June 18, 1945, and had lived in Burke, Va., for the last 26 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Stella Smyth. The family received friends at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Eden St., Herndon, Va., on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, with a service to follow the visitation. Interment will be at the Holston Conference Cemetery, Emory, on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at 11 a.m., with the Reverend David Jackson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Meadowview Medical Clinic, 13168 Meadowview Square, P.O. Box 297, Meadowview, VA 24361. Farris Funeral Service, Main Street Chapel, Abingdon, VA is serving the Smyth family.
