Hugh Patrick Steele, 84, Indianapolis, passed away August 17, 2015. He was born August 8, 1931, in Bedford, the son of the late Hugh Leyden and Elta Lee (Whaley) Steele. Patrick received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University. He served two years in the United States Army in the Korean War. He retired in 1982 from the Secret Service. He is survived by his two children, Brent Patrick (Sharon) Steele and Amy Jane Steele; and a granddaughter, Chloe. In accordance to Patrick's wishes, a graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Road. Memorial contributions may be directed to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana, 6621 N. SR 3A, Muncie, Indiana 47303. Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.flannerbuchanan.com.
