Our family moved to Hillrise in 1970. We lived above the Bankey's farm that was just NW of the corner of Kanan and Canwood. The Bankey's had a nice little farm, lots of sheep used to keep the hills groomed, lots of goats, geese and chickens. My brothers and I used to adventure down to the farm through the tall weeds and visit the Bankey's, always so welcoming, offering us PB&J's and milk. It was here we met Mr. Tringali.
He'd tend to the sheep for the Bankey's and his vintage tan car could be seen from a mile away when my brothers and I were spending the day exhaustively exploring Agoura. We were always so happy to see Mr. Tringali's car approaching and he'd always pull over, adjust his cap and ask us, "You boys need a ride?" He was as happy to see us as we him. He was such a kind and gentle man, hard working and of the earth. I recall one year, us riding in a truck loaded with sheep, going down Canwood towards Cheesboro, to an area with stocks where he would sheer the wool off the sheep, a noisy and furious fight it seemed to us as kids, but he always assured us it was the best thing for the sheep with the warm summer always around the corner.
We'll always remember and Love you Mr. Tringali!

Hugo lived behind me in Thousand Oaks.
He was a Prince of a person and extremely smart.
He would tend sheep in Agoura and teach at Agoura High. Haven't seen him in 25 years, he just appeared in my memory and I looked up his name.
God Bless you Hugo Tringali

We are so sorry that Hugo passed away. We met him a several times, he was very nice to speak to.
He and his wife used to rent an apartment in Piteå, Sweden. (The apartment was owned by my father in law).
We miss you Hugo.
