Huguette Chams Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 3, 2025.
Chams, Huguette

Beloved wife of Albert Chams, MD. Loving mother of Joyce (James Spitz, MD) Chams-Spitz, MD, Roger (Jennifer) Chams, MD, and Danielle (Brian Fern) Chams-Fern. Proud and loving Nani of Justin (Becky), Daniel (Nicole), Ilana, Dylan, Alex, Maya, Alexia, and Grayson. Devoted sister of Camille Totah, Robert Totah, the late Jacques Totah and the late Mireille Tarrab. Huguette was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. She taught many young children in early development and to this day many remained her friends. She met her husband Albert and married in 1962. With little notice, they emigrated to the United States in 1963 and slowly built their family that was her number one pride and joy! Her legacy will live on through her humor, her warmth, her class and her amazing cooking! She will be sorely missed by many friends and extended family members. Service Wednesday 12 Noon at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. Interment, Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to JUF, 30 South Wells Street, Chicago, IL 60606 www.juf.org or Shirley Ryan Ability Lab-Brain Injury www.sralab.org/give-now in memory of Huguette Chams or call Nadia at 312-238-1257, 355 East Erie, Chicago, Il 60611.
