Hulene Storm

Hulene StormPremont , TXHulene Storm (Mrs. Bob Storm) of Premont passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 94. Mrs. Storm was born in Bronson, Texas in 1919. She was raised there, and in Humble, Texas with her four siblings by her mother and grandparents. Her mother and father divorced when she was very young following a tragic shooting accident which left her older brother brain-injured for life.Hulene attended Rice University and The University of Texas where she graduated in 1941 with a degree in education. Her first teaching position was in Premont, Texas where she spent much of the remainder of her life. She met Bob Storm, the love of her life at the Premont Baptist Church where they were married in 1942. She continued teaching at Premont Schools for many years but also helped her husband build Bob Storm Farms into a successful enterprise. Together they raised a family of four boys on the farm. Bob and Hulene liquidated the dairy and retired in 1975. They didn't stop working but spent the rest of their years together doing what Bob had always dreamed of, being a cowboy. Their years traveling and living in Colorado, Montana, and South Texas were some of the best of their lives. Hulene will always be remembered for her love of the Lord, her husband, and her family. Her sweet nature will always be with us.Hulene was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Storm and her oldest son, Bobby Storm. Her surviving three children are Reagan Storm (wife-Marci) of Seattle, WA, John Storm (wife-Anne) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Bill Storm (wife-Julie) of Premont, Texas. Grandchildren are Rocky Storm (Beth) of Bishop. Texas, Scott Storm (Maggie) of Coleville, Washington, Haley Storm of Falfurrias, Texas, and their mother, Susan Storm of Falfurrias, Texas, Gabe Storm of Seattle, Washington, Corynn Storm of Seattle, Washington, and their mother, Sandra Storm of Seattle, Washington, Megan Storm (Jason) of San Antonio, Texas, Mikala Storm Schmalstieg (Jarret) of Sinton, Texas, and Jake Storm of Premont, Texas. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, Natalie Megan Schmalstieg, Deidre Storm, Anna Storm, Arin Storm, Tobin Storm, Travis Storm, Lindsey Storm and Summer Storm; one great-great grandchild, Khaiya Mitchell; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home, 1215 W. Front St., Alice, TX. Burial to follow at the Premont Cemetery.
