We met Hunter through the NE Stars Hockey team. We will always remember Hunter's joy on the ice, he truly loved the sport. He was an amazing athlete. He was always smiling and fun to be around. He was very kind to his teammates, an all around good person. I hope you are able to find comfort in your memories at this devastating time. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Kathy, Russ, John, and Teagan,
From the very first time I met Hunter(age of 6), he made me smile each and every time I saw him, and in the 12 years that followed, he continued to do the same. There wasn't a time he wouldn't seek me and my husband out (usually at an MES function, at a birthday party or just around town) to come say hello and see how we were doing and to ask "How's my little buddy?" (Referring to our oldest son whom Kathy babysat for the first year and a half of his life). Hunter was the most gentle and loving of souls. I can honestly say he was one of the kindest and truest human beings I have ever met. We should all aspire to be what Hunter was; humble, kind, loving, simply a good person. I am blessed to have known such an incredible young man. His passing is a huge loss to our community (and far beyond). There are no words to express how truly saddened I am for your loss. Seeing the sheer number of people who came to calling hours today is a testament to the amazing young man Hunter was raised to be.

To the family and friends of Hunter, I'm sorry for your loss. Hunter was a great friend and an outstanding classmate. I had the pleasure of knowing Hunter since 7th grade when we played intramural floor hockey together, since then we became good friends. Throughout high school we had many of the same classes together and even or senior year we had 3. I'm deeply saddened by the loss of such a genuinly good person and my condolences go out to the family and friends.

There just seem to be no words for this. As his Aunt I am truly devastated. I was praying as everyone was during the Updates from Kathy that he would recover. This beautiful, young ,kind, compassionate boy will be missed not only by his family, but his Hockey family, his friends, teachers, co-workers from Market Basket and anyone who knew him.
His legacy of all that he was to everyone will live on, that is for certain. We should all strive to be like him.
Thank you, Hunter for your presence in our lives and may your beautiful soul rest in everlasting peace.
Sending much love to my Niece Kathy, Russ, John and Teagan. Aunt Fran

Kathy & Russ, Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We miss Hunter so much! He was such a respectful young man, a joy to have around and funny too. Every time he came over, he came in through the back door, took off his shoes ( Never asked him to) go right to the refrigerator get a drink and come in the living room sit and talk with Alan and I for at least 1/2 hr then go upstairs to Alec's room. Alan and I would look at each other and say What a good kid! He left a huge impact on everyone in our home and no one here will be the same. You and Russ raised a One of a kind! No one will impact us like Hunter did. We are here for you and your family. Sending hugs and prayers your way.

Kathy, words can't even begin to describe my heartache. He was a joy and Tucker loved the time he had with him. He was telling us about his trips to hockey together and the funny things Hunter would do. Tucker said they had some great talks about God, family, and hockey. The world lost an incredible soul. Heaven gained an angel. Love Jen Twardosky

I had the privilege of meeting Hunter back in middle school. He always had a nice smile and friendly personality. As my neighbor, he bought lemonade from my young boys and had talks with my older son about respect and being a good teenager. Just last month I congraduated him on his graduation. I'm so sorry for your loss - he was a polite, respectful and thoughtful young man- I've shed many tears.

We are shocked and saddened by this sudden loss. Hunter was one of the first boys that Chris met when we first moved to Merrimack all those years ago and the two boys split time playing 3rd base on the same baseball team. We cannot imagine the pain you are going through. Please accept our deepest sympathies and please know we are here to help in any way we can. --CJ, Karen, Reg, Chris, Ben, Nick Bourn
