Ian S. Marek

Ian S. Marek, 23, Bradenton, died Dec. 17, 2006. He was born Oct. 6, 1983, in Peoria, Ill., and came to Bradenton with his parents in 2001. He was a student at the University of South Florida, studying computer science. Prior to Bradenton, Ian lived in Toronto, Ontario, where he attended Country Day School. Ian was employed by National Car Rental, at the Sarasota Airport. Survivors include his parents, Craig and Lori Marek, Ankeny, Iowa; sister, Kiera Marek, Aurora, Ontario; fiancée, Elizabeth Isenhour, Bradenton; grandparents, Joseph and Ruth Marek, Bloomington, Ill., and Myrna Kuehn, Normal, Ill., and step-grandfather Tom Kuehn. His hobbies included cars, computers and the outdoors. He cherished his family and the time they had together. Memorials can be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving. A memorial service in Bradenton, will be held on Dec. 29, at 13522 Glossy Ibis Place, in Greenbrook of Lakewood Ranch, 5-7p.m.
