Dear Johnny, Katie, Michael,Grace,Christian,and Gloria~
I don't know you or your son personally, but my daughter takes classes at KEYS and that is how I heard of your great trial. I just want to say I am truly and deeply heartbroken for your family. My family will be holding you up in prayer for a long time. You see, March 18 was the one year anniversary of the passing of my sweet Patrick, who was 20 years old and is survived by four siblings. He passed from unexpected cardiac arrest. So we know more than most what your are going through. Please cling to the Lord even though nothing makes sense. He is big and strong enough to take all your emotions! I know. I would be happy to listen if you ever want to talk. My number is 757 969 3687.
May you feel God's arms around you as He catches every tear,
Melisa McMullen and family

Dear Katie, John, and Family,

I haven't met each of you personally, but I knew Henrietta through church and prayer meetings and attended school with Conway. God has also connected us in love through the Body of Christ.

After learning of Ian's accident, I joined with many in Richmond who were praying he would receive a healing miracle here in this earth. And now I'll be praying that God will comfort you as only He can in your loss. Each of you is "His Beloved" -- Ian especially so at this time.

I have a friend who wrote a beautiful song called "Father of Mercies". I pray these words will comfort, bless, and encourage you as they have me.

FATHER OF MERCIES
Mary Makarios
[with permission]

Father of mercies, God of all comfort, Hold me close to your breast. Whisper your peace now. Show me that great love In which I safely rest.

Faint from the battle, I come to you already bruised and torn. But in Your refuge, My strength and hope can be reborn.

I feel the fire, and yet I know your promises are true. I shall not be consumed. My faithful God will carry me through.

Father of mercies, God of all comfort, Hold me close to your breast. Whisper your peace now. Show me that great love In which I safely rest.

However tender, however constant, caring, or fine, No human love, Lord, can take the place of love divine.

Father of mercies, God of all comfort, Hold me close to your breast. Whisper your peace now. Show me that great love In which I safely rest.

O, lift me higher. Hide me in Thee. O, Lord, only your presence will satisfy the need in me.

Father of mercies, God of all comfort,
Hold me close. . . [fini]

May His peace that passes all understanding be with you, and may tears of joy also be with you as you remember your wonderful son and brother.

Love and blessings to all, in Jesus' name,

Nancy Wellford Markon
