Ida Foster Obituary
Shreveport, LA- A funeral service for Ida Ellen Foster, 91, will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Eddie DeHondt. Interment will follow after the service at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the funeral home.
Ida was born on November 8, 1923 in Alexandria, LA to Henry and Bertha Irvine. She passed away on May 12, 2015 in Shreveport, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and loving husband, Murphy J. Foster, Sr.
She is survived by her sons, Eddie DeHondt and wife Glenda, and Murphy Foster and wife Jackie, grandchildren, Sharee Sanders and husband Todd, David DeHondt and wife Stephanie, Angel Peterson and husband Stephen, Ty Foster, and wife Christen, and Ryan Johnson and wife Holly, and 11 great grandchildren.
Ida Foster was a long time resident of Shreveport. She worked in Retail Sales for Sellers, Smart Shops and other local Dept. Stores. She was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and a care giver for many individuals.
Honoring Ida as pallbearers will be Ty and Drake Foster, Ryan Johnson, David and Dylan DeHondt, Todd Sanders, Stephen and Stone Peterson.

Heaven has now gained one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. My Aunt was a joy to be around and one of the most loving people I know. She is now reunited with the love of her life, my Uncle Murphy. Until we meet again, I love you.

I am sorry about your mother, but God's arms are around her now and she is eternally happy and will live forever. I met Eddie when he preached at Ford Park Baptist not very long ago. Bless you and your families and keep faith God will carry you all through this trial.
