Ida Martin Obituary
Born in Peekskill, NY, she was a daughter of the late Hyman and Lena (Bass) Dabrusin. She had been a resident of New Bedford for 40 years before moving to Florida and then to Worcester.
Mrs. Martin was a life member of Hadassah, and a former member of Brandeis, National Council of Jewish Women, Tifereth Israel and its Sisterhood, and the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home.
She is survived by her children; Kenneth Martin of Boynton Beach, FL, William Martin of Long Meadow, MA, and Lawrence Martin of Shrewsbury, MA, her sister; Rose Levinson of Irvine, CA, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Samuel and Alex Dabrusin.
The funeral service will be held TODAY, September 26th at 10:00 AM at Dartmouth Funeral Home, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth with burial in Plainville Cemetery, New Bedford. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Jason Martin Scholarship Fund, C/O Jewish Federation of Greater New Bedford, 467 Hawthorn St., N. Dartmouth, MA 02747. Shiva will be private. The family was assisted with their arrangements by SUGARMAN-SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPEL.
