GREEN ISLAND Ida McGivern Rohloff of Green Island, died at her home on Sunday, December 18, 2005 after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late George A. Rohloff who died on July 9, 1980. Survivors include her two daughters, Sister Carol A. Rohloff, CSJ of Green Island and Ellen (Joseph) Roarke of Speigletown; two granddaughters, Amy (Angel) Diaz of Carmel, N.Y. and Susan M. Roarke of South Lawrence, Mass.; and her first great-grandchild, Baby Diaz, soon to be born. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Avenue, Green Island on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. thence to St. Joseph's Church, Green Island where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Edward Deimeke at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Those wishing to remember Ida are asked to make a contribution in her name to the Sisters of St. Joseph, c/o the Development Office, St. Joseph's Provincial House, 385 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham, NY 12110.
